How is the TikTok viral score calculated?
The score weighs three signals: your share rate (shares divided by views), your engagement rate (likes, comments and shares divided by views), and the raw reach of the video. Shares carry the most weight because they are the strongest push signal to the For You feed. Raw views count least because a view is nearly free.
What is a good viral score?
Anything above 65 means the video is outperforming a normal post and is likely being pushed. Between 45 and 65 is solid and healthy. Below 25 usually means the hook or the payoff is losing people early, no matter how many views it got.
Does a high view count mean a video went viral?
Not on its own. A view is counted the moment the video starts playing, so a big view count can still sit on weak engagement. Shares and completion are what tell TikTok the content is worth pushing, which is why this score leans on them, not on raw views.
