Okay, I might get dragged for this, but it's Kantolampo actually, what the, I mean, look at this. The waterfall is beautiful. Try and I completely understand why it went viral. But what you don't see in those pretty TikTok is the literal madness and getting that picture, there's always a ridiculously long queue and you can be waiting 45 minutes to an hour or even longer just to get to your turn. And the crazy part is you're not waiting somewhere dry and comfortable. The queue is literally under the waterfall. So imagine standing there waiting for your turn with freezing water blasting on you. I was freezing. Like I was literally standing there gnashing my teeth. At some point, I genuinely wanted to give up. And the worst part is the moment you leave that queue, you have to start all over again. So it's not something you can just avoid. You literally have to go through the whole process. But is it worth the hype? Honestly, I think so. For me, it was hundred percent what it's like because when I finally saw my pictures and videos, baby, I looked heavenly. Chai. I usually forgot every single second of pain and torture the moment I saw those pictures. But me, I have tough skin. So if you're someone who cannot handle cold very well, then you might not find it funny. So that's my honest opinion. Cantaloupe is beautiful, but the journey to getting that picture, hmm. I regret doing the Bali swing at Alas Arum. I went in thinking I was going to get one of those beautiful Bali swing videos and pictures we see all over TikTok, but honestly the experience did not turn out the way I expected. First of all, the swing itself cost 328,000 I D R. And the entrance fee cost 8,000 I D R. Although I didn't pay this because I entered through Ketia. Then you have to rent a dress for another 350,000 I D R. And photography and videography with your phone cost 450,000 I D R. Yes, with your phone. And if you don't pay for it, the staff won't help you take your pictures and videos. And if you want a drone shots, that's another 1 million I D R. So if you wanted the swing, the dress, professional full photography and videography, you're already looking at 1000000+ I D R. Without the entrance fee. And if you add the drone, that's more than 2 million I D R. And this is where I personally feel like it wasn't worth it, because after everything, the content didn't come out anywhere near how I imagined it. Plus it was so crowded. I literally got here and I had to wait for about an hour 30 minutes before it was finally my turn. So if you're expecting those quiet Jimmy Baliswing pictures with nobody in the background, just know that. Hmm. That might not be possible. But here's the part That made me really regret it more later on in my Bali trip. I found a much cheaper alternative called Swing Avon where you can get all of these for just 600,000 IDR. And I genuinely wish that I found that place before before I went to Alasaar Room. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't do the Bali swing at Alasaar Room, just make sure to compare your options before you book. Planning to visit Cretaia Bali, save this because here are a few things you need to know before you go. First, if you are planning to do the floating breakfast, you need to book way ahead. I tried to book mine and I was told they were completely booked for the next month. So don't make the mistake that I did. The floating breakfast cost 400,000 IDR. But if you're not doing the first thing breakfast, you don't necessarily need a reservation. You can just simply walk in and pay for pool access which costs 220,000 IDR and that includes access to the pool and a complimentary drink. You can choose from options like a mocktail, juice or gin. The next thing you need to know is about towells and lockers. They are not included also. So if you need a locker, you pay 10,000 I d. R and another 10,000 I d. R for toll booth. So you can always go with your toll booth or maybe try not to go with too many things so you don't have to get a locker. Also, there's no street dress code. You know, just come prepared in whatever you are comfortable wearing for a pool day. Now let's talk about the crowd because this place gets really busy, like very, very busy. If you want to have people around and you're hoping to get nice pictures and quick content, I recommend going early. The earlier you go, the better. There are Also some private areas, but keep in mind that some of them come with a minimum spend of 1.3 million ideal. And for the food and drinks, you can expect to spend from around 70,000 I d. R. If you're a foodie planning a trip to Bali, or you simply want to explore and experience the different varieties of food Bali has to offer, save this because I found a really cute food market in Ubud. This place is called Sayan Night Market and I came here specifically to try some local food. So let me show you everything I ate and drank and exactly how much I spent. First I tried this shrimp coated in. Honestly I don't even know what but it was 20,000 IDR. Then I tried this cheese corn dog for 15,000 IDR. I also got this drink for 15,000 IDR. Later on I tried this wrap that had rice in it for 10,000 IDR and I really didn't like this one though. And I had some sushi for 45,000 IDR. I also tried this food mix for 20,000 IDR. Then I got this chocolate pancake or waffle or whatever for 80,000 IDR and oh my god it was so freaking good. Ugh. Finally I got this doughnuts and fish pie for just 5,000 IDR and after adding everything up I spent a total of 210,000 IDR. Which is evident to 17,000 naira, or $12. Honestly, I don't think the prices were bad at all considering how much I got to try. So if you're looking for somewhere to eat, try different local food and experience a more casual side of Bali, I would definitely add soya nice market to your itinerary.
