Okay So I was growing my hair out for two to three years, and then about three months ago, I decided to chop it all off into this little taper cut. I've had this cut before, and I was just getting tired of it, and I wanted something new. So I went to my girl Chandler, a k a. The Pixie Princess. If you're in Charlotte, North Carolina, and you want a pixie cut, definitely hit up Chandler because she's the best. Anyway, I've gone through this exact same cycle before. Grew my hair out, cut it into a taper cut, cut it into a pixie, and the cycle just continues. I love a pixie cut cause I feel like it's just so versatile. It's a little more grown up looking than my taper cut, in my opinion, and I just love how short it is. It's so much easier for me to manage.

I spent three days in Great Smoky Mountains National Park with about 15 other women who I've never met before. So here's how day three went. We woke up to a lot of rain this morning. Our plan was to wake up and head out on a hike. But because of the rain, we decided to stay in, do some fun, cozy fall crafts, and wait out the rain. And once it stopped, we headed out on one of the most insanely gorgeous and windy roads I have probably ever been on. But we headed into the mountains to do a little hike that LED us to a gorgeous swimming hole. The hike to the swimming hole really was not long at all, like, maybe a mile and a half long. And I had amazing little waterfall views all along the way. I was so blown away with how pretty this swimming hole was. And don't get it twisted. This swimming hole was so cool. But it was about 80 degrees this day, so it felt so nice. After that, we went home and got ready for our last little dinner here. This is our fancy night, so we all dressed up, we had amazing food and cute little apple cocktails and mocktails, and we ended the night with a game. Overall, it was such a fun trip.

I spent three nights in Great Smoky Mountains National Park with about 15 women who I have never met before so here's how the first two days went I drove about four and a half hours from Charlotte to the Tennessee side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and we stayed in this ginormous cabin that fit all of us I was in one of the bunk rooms that had like full size bunk beds it was so cool for reference this is the river and root retreat and they do it twice a year it's run by Kate and Lauren who are both so sweet anyways that night we had a super yummy dinner some dessert and we all sat around the campfire and set our intentions for the trip the next morning we woke up bright and early and headed out to do the Kuwohe Observation at Tower Trail and if you're familiar with this trail it is often covered in fog but that's okay it was still a really gorgeous trail then we headed back to our cabin and we stopped at the Alum Cave Trail the leaves were just barely starting to change on this trail so it made for such a gorgeous hike and perfect temperature once we were done hiking for the day we headed back for a yummy lunch we did some crafts and friendship bracelets I took a pretty long nap had some dinner and headed to bed stay tuned for day three

welcome to my series and Outdoorsy Girls Guide to Solo Adventuring and in today's episode we are talking about my sleep system sleep is the number one thing that makes or breaks a solo adventure for me if I don't sleep well everything's off for the next day so let's talk about what I actually sleep in and sleep on because it's taking me a while to decide on a good sleep setup thus far in my adult solo camping journey I have only ever car camped and camped in my rooftop tent so those are the two different camping setups that I'm gonna be talking about now car camping is amazing for female solo campers because it makes me feel so much safer knowing I can lock myself in in a vehicle at night it makes me feel like 10 times safer so I would highly recommend this if you're going to start camping that's what I did since I have become more comfortable and confident in solo camping I have recently upgraded to a rooftop tent and I think that this is the most elite setup you could possibly camp with in the warmer months the cross breeze that you get in a rooftop tent is unmatched especially when you're camping with a dog my dog gets so hot and the breeze is just phenomenal I also feel a lot safer being higher up on the ground in a rooftop tent in my mind it's harder for someone to get up to you or an animal to get up to you when you're on top of your car in both of my setups however I use a 4 inch thick memory foam trifold mattress to sleep on it's made my sleep setup so incredibly comfy unless you're backpacking I would just splurge and get the trifold mattress the next thing I would recommend getting to make your solo camping sleep setup more comfortable is a and that you can use in your rooftop tent or in your car when you roll down the car windows you can hook the fan onto your car and it blows in the cool air or if you're in the tent I'll just put it by like the mesh opening and in that way it's able to circulate air and blow in some cool air it is oh nice I got mine off of Amazon for like $30 another necessity is a good sleeping bag or a blanket I am in the market for a new sleeping bag especially as the colder months are approaching but what I've been using is a ruffle blanket let me know your favorite item in your camping sleep setup and stay tuned for episode four

day two of our Toyota brand trip today look how pretty it is out here we're about to head to the like dining hall to get some breakfast and then we're gonna head out on our activities for the day our breakfast view 응 와우 you remind me of my Draco boy oh sweetheart so to load they're all one crank which bring it out like that into the air with the wing tips so much like never believe me we're heading out in our Toyotas about to go a little bit of off roading to our lunch spot so wish me luck we've got the 4 runner I'm actually so glad we have the 4 runner for this got it oh my gosh Michelin keys today by Michelin oh great we just got back to the room the best little farewell night it was so sad because I feel like we made it so many connections and friendships just in these two days on this trip we came back to the room and we had this cute little package waiting for us they gave us Toyota themed air tags you just saw Toyota patch little power bank and a Toyota notebook I just feel so grateful for this community and I just want to say thank you so much to the Toyota team for inviting me

About to head out on my first ever brand trip with Toyota. This is day one. We are hopping in the 4 runner. They dropped off for us, and we're heading it to the mountain. We're here. Okay. We just got to the ranch. We're staying at the Cataloochee Ranch. I think I'm just outside. Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hi. Okay, we made it to our cabin. We are staying at the dapple, which is apparently the best cabin here. This is the prettiest cabin I've ever stayed in. This is the bathroom. Double sinks for both of us. About a toilet, of course. Then we have this gorgeous tub. And then this is the gorgeous bedroom with the cutest Toyota blanket. My gosh, I'm obsessed. Welcome to the Catalouchi Ranch. Toyota trails, little Toyota Koozies. How cute. And then this is my favorite part. Insane. We have horses in the distance. An outdoor tub with some bath salts. And, yeah, that's the cabin. So after this, we have dinner in a couple hours. Okay. We're here for dinner with the Toyota team. We are so excited. It's so cute here. Look at the car. It's so pretty here. Oh, my gosh. They did a partnership. I'm really. Landing was fine. We just got back from dinner. It's 10:45. I was not expecting to be up so late. The Toyota team surprised us with these little jackets in the room. Some socks and hats for tomorrow. I have comet here. I have Draco back there. Let's go to lake hike. Probably the last lake hike of the season. Okay, here's what I'm wearing. I have a Columbia fleece on, some fat leggings, my keen little trail shoes, and my fanny pack. Come and sit. Good boy. We're off. It's almost 10:00am, and it's only 62 degrees. Phenomenal. We're brushing up on our loose leash. On our loose leash walking skills. Come on, comet. Just two happy guys as we enter the colder months. I have a love hate relationship with it, because hate that all the leaves are gone on our hikes. Love that most of the dog parents are also gone. Once it starts getting cold, the trails start getting empty. Okay. Their favorite part of the hike. Oh, my gosh! Whoa! There he goes. They're crazy. Get him juice. Last time we were here, common Learned how to swim, so he is very anxious to start swimming again. Let's see if I can help him out a little bit. All right, come on, come on. Goes. There he goes. Yeah, he's swimming! He's swimming! Hey, comet! Okay, we were playing in the water for good, like, 25 minutes, and we're heading back now. Comet is pretty spent. Draco is still doing laps. We're done. That's it.

Fall hiking season is quickly approaching. So here's what I pack for a fall hike with my dog. The first thing I always remember to pack is my Kleenex. Snap and go, especially after one of very unfortunate 11 mile hike where I Learned the hard way that just a couple of tissues is definitely not enough. I like knowing I'm prepared for whatever the troll throws at me, a dusty air, cold, cold wind or just being out all day and moving with my dogs. I love that the secure lid keeps the tissues clean and protected even when my bag is packed with sweaty hiking gear and trail essentials. It's honestly so perfect for a fall hike because it's compact, it's easy to grab and it's always there when I need it. Don't wait for the mess. Snap and go wherever you go.

I am always looking for an adventure, so here are a few things I keep in my car all the time to make sure that I'm always ready no matter what I get into. Okay, first we have a blanket, A little, like, picnic blanket. This is nice to have in case we go to a beach, a lake, a campsite, a park. It's always nice to just have a blanket to lay out. Okay, next, I have this, like, compartment for. So I always keep a collapsible water bowl, because, like I said, one or both my dogs are pretty much always with me on my adventures. Paw wipes, because they get dirty. Dog first aid kit that's always with us. Have this wonderside skin spray in case they get, like, a cut or a skin irritation. I always keep some eye drops because you never know what's going to get in their eyes. On. For, on, like, a trail or camping, I would make sure I have two backup leashes with me. Some tissues of this. Do not pet leash wrap. Because if we're in public, sometimes. A lot of times, people will try and come up to my dogs to pet them, and I don't necessarily want that. And then last thing, my dad actually got me and my siblings this for Christmas. It's just like a emergency kit. Like, it has jumper cables in here, a little poncho, some gloves. Just things you'll need if your Car gets into some trouble and my little compartment over here I have an affordable like aluminum blanket in case of emergency. Then this little compartment I have my like emergency bag. My husband actually got this for me, I believe off Amazon, so I will link in my storefront. But pretty much has everything you could possibly need. It has one of these in there, bunch of first aid supplies, as a little axe hammer, an emergency blanket. It has a shovel that folds out, a little whistle. Just such a nice useful tool to have for someone who likes to solo adventure like I do.
