Big Claud update Anthropic just launched Claud Dashboards and it can completely change how you see your work or run your business. Here's how to set it up in three easy steps. I'm Ben Gustburg. I'm a Stanford founder of an AI startup. We've raised $4 million. Step 1 connect any data source to Claude. This can be as simple as connecting your apps like Google Sheets, Notion, or Slack. Or if you're a bigger company, connect your data warehouse like snowflake or data bricks. Any data source works. Step 2 tell Claude, in simple English, exactly what you want to see from that data. You can even combine data sources like build a dashboard of all customer messages we receive from both Slack and Gmail, broken down by channel. Step 3 watch as Claude turns your query into a live dashboard that you can use to make key business decisions or just show off your work. What's cool is you can click into parts of the dashboard and see how they're calculated. And if you want to change the view, just drop a comment to Claude. He Learned it during his first job as a newspaper reporter. Framework has three simple parts. Use short sentences, use strong, active verbs, and cut anything the reader can figure out on their own. Like in iceberg, the reader only sees the tip, but feels everything underneath. Claude usually does the opposite. Long sentences, filler words, and explaining everything twice. To fix that, just use this prompt on anything you write. You can even add this to your custom instructions. People are making 10K a month selling coloring books online. I wanna do that too. Let's use ChatGPT for this. First, go to Amazon and find a coloring book with lots of reviews. I chose this one because it's already made over $120,000. Then open Chat GPT and go to the work tab. Chat GPT work is basically an AI agent that can control and use your computer. It can also make illustrations. So it's gonna make the whole coloring book for you. All you need to do is tell it in simple English what you want. In my case, it's create a new coloring book based on this example. Full prompt is up here. Chat will then use your example as inspo to create all the pages, the cover, everything. 10 minutes later you have a product ready to sell on Amazon. Amazon even has a service where you can publish books for free, and they pay you 60% of all revenue. So just go to this website and upload the coloring book files chat GPT created for you. What's the actual difference between prompts, skills and AI agents? And when should you use each one in 60 seconds. I'm Ben Gugusberg. I'm a Stanford founder of an AI startup. We've raised $4 million. Let's start with prompts. You know this one. This is what you type into chat GPT or Claude. It's your instructions telling AI what to do, like summarize this email. There's also a special prompt called a System Prompt, which has all the hidden instructions. Open AI has already given to chat GBT and same thing anthropic has already given to Claude. It defines how the AI interacts with you, like what it can and can't say. Next. A skill is like a recipe or playbook. It's a reusable set of instructions for a particular job. It can include examples, reference files and scripts. Use skills when you find yourself doing the same task over and over again every week. For example, you could make an email writing skill that turns jumbled thoughts into a well crafted email and you voice. Finally, an agent does work and makes decisions for you. You give it a goal and guidance, but no specific recipe. It chooses what workflows and tools to use, looks at the results and decides what to do next. It can even use and create its own skills. You use agents for more complex work, particularly if you don't know all the steps beforehand because agents can learn and improve over time. For example, you Could create an agent that builds you a website or manages your inbox. Okay, let's put it all together. Think of it like hiring someone to build a house. The prompt is build me a house. The skill is the blueprint for how to build a house. And the agent is the person you hired. You give the agent the prompt. It's called calibrated questions, pioneered by Chris Voss, the legendary FBI hostage negotiator and author of Never Split the difference framework has three parts. 1. Never argue or defend. Ask a question instead. 2 start every question with what or how? Never yes or no. And 3 make the other person solve your problem for you. Here's an example. A client says, we need 20% off or we walk. Most people get defensive. They say our price is already fair. Boss would ask, what's driving the need for a lower price? Or how can we make this work without cutting the price? Now the discussion is collaborative. They have to explain their real constraint and help you find a solution. Claude usually does the opposite. It writes you a perfectly polite defense of your position. To fix that, use this prompt, and Claude will play the other side so you can rehearse before the real thing happens. Jeff Bezos uses this one framework to make all decisions. I gave it to Claude and now I make hard decisions in minutes instead of weeks. Here's how to set it up in 30 seconds or less. One way doors are things like quitting your job, are hard or impossible to reverse. For these decisions, you need to slow down to make sure you get it right. Two way doors are things like choosing a new morning routine or a new pricing strategy for your company. These are easy to undo or switch, so you decide quickly and then can always change it back later. Bezos says most decisions are actually two way doors, but people treat them all like one way doors and move way too slowly. Claude makes this error too. It usually tells you it depends and then gives you a list of pros and cons to fix that. Just use this prompt on any decision you're stuck on. Think of this like your personal project manager where you can give your task, then that project manager spins up a bunch of subagents called threads that work simultaneously to do your work. Second, all those worker agents share memory automatically, so you don't need to worry about prompting in context as much as you used to. Third, you now have more control over which model the project manager and worker agents use so you can optimize your usage to save on tokens.
