So a man made me cry at the bar the other day because I went out on a date with his friend and said that I liked him. And that was apparently the worst thing in the world. So basically, what happened was that I went on a date with a guy for, like, the first time since my breakup. I decided to go on a date. Did I DM the guy first? Yeah, I did, but he ended up asking me on a date. Nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with going on a date with somebody. Um, and so then I remember going out another night, and I see this man's friend, and I'm like, oh, yeah? Did he say anything about the date? Like, you know, um, I really liked him. I had a good time. You would have thought that I said that I wanted to bear this man's children. Um, because then the friend goes, you really liked him after just one date? And I was like, yeah. That's, like, usually what happens after you go on a date with someone. Like, you decide if you. Or you kind of have an idea if you had a good time with them or not. I don't know. I thought that was normal, but, hey, I'm new to the dating world, so I don't know. Um, and then he started to yell in my face and say, do you seriously think that you're the hottest girl? In his DMs. Oh. Uh, I was like, I don't know, but even if I'm not the hottest girl in his DMs, like, I, I, he asked me on a date, and he's like, oh, you just think that you're the hottest girl in the world, don't you? I was like, never claimed that. Never claimed that. I, I wouldn't. He's not the hottest man in the world, and yet here we are. Um, and then he told me that I need constant validation to know that I'm attractive after he just insulted me to my face. Um, so, yeah, I ended up crying in the bar bathroom after that because it hurt my feelings, and I hate that I let a narcissistic, ugly man get to me, but, yeah, he was like, you really think that you're the hottest girl in the world? That you're the hottest girl that's Dming this guy? Like, which is one of my big issues that I'm working on in therapy is, like, constantly feeling like I'm never gonna be chosen, and, like, there's always better options. So why would anybody choose me when there's prettier girls out there or better girls out there? Um, and to hear that said to me from, like, a third party was insane and just, like, very, like, triggering to that insecurity of mine. Um, but, you know, if I think about it from an outside perspective, I'm like, you do not have to be the hottest person In the world in order for somebody to like you. Crazy concept, I know. So, like, I was like, you know what? I'm not gonna let this man make me think that there's anything I need to change about myself in order to be chosen. Cause I already was. I was already asked on the date, had a good time. Like, sorry, it's. Everything's in my favor right now. So I just want you ladies to be aware of that. Because I was like, huh? Um, yeah. You guys, I'm getting lash extensions next week, the week after. I'm getting lash extensions soon, and I cannot wait, because let me just tell you, being a blond, um, I just, like, don't have eyelashes naturally that are visible. Like, these are my real eyelashes, but they're curled and with, like, three coats of mascara on them, and I'm just, like, sick of it. Like, it takes me 10+ minutes to just do my lashes because I'm so particular about them. Um, I'm not proud of it, but you know what I mean? Like, I just wanna wake up and be, like, boom, like, good to go. Just maybe need to put on a little, like, base makeup and a lip and then go. Um, so I'm doing that soon. I'm getting my brows laminated and then some lash extensions, and then I'm going to Nashville, and I'm gonna tear the town up, and I can't wait. So, um, the d influencing did not work. On a previous. nothing makes me feel like more of a celebrity than when I get an email from a student at my Alma mater and they tell me that a professor mentioned me in class so they wanted to reach out about like a job opportunity I love that whether it's email or LinkedIn like that is celeb status to me you can't tell me anything you can't tell me anything okay like if I get one of those emails like that is the most validating thing cause that's still keep an academic validation going here into my professional life yes yes like I'm glad that professor remembered me and know that I ate and like said that to the class and I always want to be nosy and be like well what exactly did they say like I just want to know but you know I have to keep my composure and professionalism but just now that it makes me so happy please ignore my rosacea flaring up right now it's just I just have a lot going on

One thing I've noticed working in a male dominated industry is that men never assume that women are funny or are trying to make a joke. They don't think that women have the capacity for humor. This has been made evident to me several times. For example, the other day one of the, um, athletic trainers that I work with, I do social media for a sports team, started arguing with me saying how much harder his job was than mine. I've never claimed that being the social media manager is a harder job than that. I just want to say, like, he was really like, making sure I knew that his job was harder than mine. I was like, yeah, well, god forbid you ever need something posted on social media. To me that's like, very clearly like a joke. A self deprecating joke at that. Yeah, making an Instagram post or posting on LinkedIn is not as hard as having to like, do whatever the hell an athletic trainer does when someone gets injured and attend to them medically. I thought that was pretty obvious, but because he thinks that I'm an idiot woman, he got pissed at me and started yelling at me. He said I hope you're in a situation one day where you get hurt and you need my help. Weird thing to wish on someone. I guess I just have to add like a giggle to everything that I do. Sarcasm, dry humor, irony, Any of the above. Um, that's just not ever gonna land with them. Ever. Ever. So. Yeah. Stay safe out there, guys. Um. Oh.

Here's what you need to remember when you're feeling insecure about your body, because I really struggle with body dysmorphia and feeling like everybody's picking apart my body. It's literally just a body. It's just a body. There's nothing abnormal about you. There's nothing weird about you. We see these fixes for problems that don't exist on TikTok and stuff, and you're like, I didn't know that was something that could be wrong with me. I didn't know I had to think about that hip dips and stuff. When you look at other people, are you picking apart their bodies and their little pieces of their appearances? No. At least I hope not. I don't. When I look at someone, I'm like, it's just a body. You look great, honestly. You're honestly killing it, and you should be strutting around in a bikini. I feel like we just have to take the significance and the importance away from our physical bodies. That's all it is. It's literally like, what is? I think Emma Thompson says, it's just your vessel. It's where you live. It's just a body. There's nothing weird or gross or wrong with your body. So I feel like we just need to take a step back and just think about that. It's literally just a body, and you look great, and everybody else thinks you look great. No one else is picking apart your appearance. People are not used to seeing you the same way that you Are. It's a reminder for you. But mostly for me, it's just a body. And it's a pretty damn good one, if you ask me.

This is how you're gonna wear color in the fall if you're a spring or a summer color palette and you don't look good in neutrals. Because I look awful in neutrals. I was actually inspired by my friend Audrey's post about this, where she's so summery and she wears a lot of pinks and pastels and she doesn't really like neutrals, so she's like, what do you wear in the fall? I got you covered. My go to is always Berry pink. I'm a light summer, I would say, and the Berry pink color hello looks incredible in the fall. It's a very rich, deep fuchsia, and I just think that's a great way to incorporate color, especially if you love pink. Pastel pink is really though. You can always wear baby pink, you know what I mean? Navy blue is really good. Pine green is also amazing, especially if you're like a cool tone like peacock blue and green slash teal. That kind of color. I always really like that in the fall. And in the winter if you wanna keep the color going, burgundy and red are just that is fall. So wear a lot of reds. People are scared of red. You don't need to be scared of red. You should use the undertone that looks good on you. So you need to learn your undertones. Plums and nice rich purples are really great to incorporate some color if you can pull off a deep yellow. And orange, then power to you, because I certainly cannot. And then Browns. I think if you don't look the best in gray or black, I don't look good in those colors. But a brown is kind of softer. It's warm, it's cozy. That always looks really nice. Deep, beautiful. Greens are just gorgeous in the fall. There's lots of great ways to incorporate colors into your fall wardrobe. You don't just have to wear neutrals and black and gray. I actually think that spicing it up and using a little bit of color is really interesting. Oh, for example, like the fry boots, the banana color, that's beautiful in the fall, and it's kind of different, so I really like that, too.

In your 20s, when you're first out of college and you're applying to jobs, you just need to apply to something that you think you can do and then figure it out along the way. I'm a graphic designer. I took one graphic design course in my life. In college, I had to take one. I wasn't that good at it. And I got a social media and graphic design gig. Wasn't supposed to do a lot of graphic design. Things changed with, like, my management and stuff, and now I am one of the graphic designers. You figure it out. Like, when you're applying to jobs, even if you can't do everything that's in. In the description, just look and be like, can I do this job? Just apply. You can figure out half of it on the way. Like, I promise you, you can. Um, as long as you're someone who's, like, a problem solver and you're okay with asking questions and you're actually gonna really try and learn the material and try to, um, you know, bring your own, like, creativity to it and. And. And figure out how to do the job. Like, you don't need to be an expert. You just need to look at it and be like, for the most part, I can do this stuff. Like, I think I can do this job. Apply. Just apply. I promise you, like, a ton of people are not qualified for their jobs, and they Just that you figure it out on the way

There's truly nothing worse than work air ruining your beauty and dimming your sparkle. Every time a baddie goes to work, an angel loses its wings. So I'm gonna show you how to fix that with this makeup tutorial that's going to last all day and combat work air. You need a really good foundation to pull this off. I know some people don't like to wear foundation everyday. I don't know what to tell you. Work air is gonna get to you with your concealer. Next, we're going with our concealer under your eyes. And we're also gonna do a makeup beard down here for reference. I like to look like I have makeup on. I am not into a natural makeup like it can look everyday. But you're gonna be able to tell that I have makeup on. And maybe if the work area is ruining your makeup, it's because you're not wearing enough. Everybody wants a glowy, dewy makeup look, but you have to powder your face. I'm sorry. If you want this to stay at work, you need to powder. Don't worry, we're gonna make it glowy and dewy again. Just. You need to set your face. Let's add some color back into our face with some powder bronzer. Really get up into your hairline, too. And also get down your neck just to blend everything. We also wanna put the bronzer on our eyelids. And that's just gonna be a little eyeshadow and a little Nose contour. Now we're taking our luminous blush, and we're just gonna really add some color here. I love blush. Put that on your eyelids, too. We don't do eyeshadow around here. We just do this. And even though the blush was luminous, we're still gonna take a little highlighter just for our nose. Cupid's bow is really important down the nose, and I like to do my brow bone just blend that all in just lately so everything's nice and no harsh lines. Gel your eyebrows. You can fill them in, do whatever you want. I don't like to fill mine in because I like my lashes to be bolder than my brows. Now we're gonna curl our lashes and use waterproof mascara. I'll link all the mascaras that I use in my shop. My people do recommend brown mascara for me because it would look more natural, but I'm not really interested in looking natural. Then I just take a little brown pencil and do a tiny little wing. Let's think of it as, like, drawing one more lash. I only do this sometimes, but when I want to look more awake, I take a little bit of this, and I just put it on my water line. Lastly, I'm taking Nyx Mole, and then today I'm going in with the Tarte Cherry Blossom. That's perfect. And to really set it in place, you take the Tarte Liflock setting spray and let that sit. And that's the final Look. And your makeup is going to stay all day. My credentials are I work outside in the heat. So this is gonna stay on. And this is actually gonna prevent you from the work uglies in the work air ruining your baddie ism. So I will link everything in my shop. Mai, you look beautiful. Don't forget it. I hate having a job that doesn't allow me to be the beautiful fairy princess that I really am and let me look, like, girly and pretty and like, have a good time. Because I work in baseball and I have to look professional, but also kind of like sporty. And that's just like, not my vibe. And I just feel so officious. I feel, oh, fish, you know what I mean? Like, I don't feel like myself and it's causing me to have like this identity crisis. And I really just wish that I worked in, like, the fairy princess industry, I guess, like, where I could just be gallivanting through a field and frolicking and talking to Woodland creatures. Um, it's just unfortunate, the reality that we live in, cause somewhere out there in another universe is fairy princess Anna, who's just like doing. Doing cartwheels in a field and relaxing in a meadow and a cute dress and a lot of lace and has her hair done and is just. Just having a. Having a good time, having fun. And unfortunately for me and for everybody else, because it's like people at work don't realize that I am that aesthetic. They're just like, oh, yuck. So it's unfortunate. But, um, we shall go on.

Hey, Queens. I have been gone for a little bit. I've been going through a bit of a depressive episode and a very difficult and brutal breakup, um, with my boyfriend of six years. So that has been really hard. And I've just been, like, kind of dealing with my, like, identity crisis after that and just been really depressed and busy with work and just haven't felt like myself. Like, I've been feeling like, um, another. I've been feeling like when you play Minecraft and you're in the third person. Like, I've been feeling like I'm, I'm, like, looking at myself living, and, like, the days just go by so fast. And I, for the first time this week, have finally felt like I'm back in my body, and I have some motivation to do something. And it's really nice because I have not been doing well. I'm so sorry because I haven't been able to post and talk to you guys, but I feel like a lot of the content I make is centered around, like, trying to give women in their 20s, like, advice and, like, confidence things and, like, kind of motivation, but also try to be, like, real with you guys. But I haven't felt authentic in doing that because I've just been so, just, like, dark and down and very in a really bad place. So I'm feeling better and I wanna be back. I, I think it's time to decide that we're So back. And I'm ready to make a change in my life. I'm ready to be back on here, um, and actually, like, put more soul into my content again, because I just haven't been able to, like, talk to the camera and stuff. So, um, you know, we go through seasons in our lives, and I always tell my friends and like, you know, this is another season in your life. And once you feel like you hit rock bottom is always when things start to change for the better and look up. Like, it just always happens. So I have to have faith that that will happen for me as well. Um, but I'm back, and I love you and I've missed you guys. So I just wanted to give you a little update on what's been going on with me without going into too much detail, cause I don't really want to talk about that to the internet. It kills me that I will never have like, an edit made out of me from a bunch of movie scenes that I've been in or like, something from a TV show. Like, I always see those edits with the actors and like, especially a lot of Spider Man ones recently, and they do this cool edit and I'm just like, I would really love that because I'm conceited and I'm. I'm, you know, a vain, horrible person like that. But I'm always like, wow, I would love to have an American teenager at it made of me. Not just Tom Holland, I'd love one of myself. I'd love, like, any sort of edit, really, like of any TV show I was in or people like, this is so this character, like, that is my dream. And I'm never gonna have that because I'm not a movie star. And that sucks cause it would have to be, like, fictional things. Like, I would never want an edit of, like, real life me, but like, of me playing a character. I'm not gonna ever be an actor. I, like, I'm. That's not me. But I'm like, man, that's the one thing I wish I could do. And I wish I could do interviews. Yes. Your best picture of you is what you actually look like. But then people are like, well, what about pictures of me that are two years old, and I don't look like that anymore? Yeah, you don't look like that anymore. So, uh, no, no. Uh, I guess your current picture. I didn't think I would have to, like, uh, specify that. That's kind of bizarre. Um, yeah, if it's a picture that is like, I don't know, you're doing something that you wouldn't normally be. I, like, you're two years younger, or you're, like, wearing, like, a filter or perhaps a Halloween costume or a prosthetic nose or something. Like, yeah, that's not what you look like. But, um, if you're just how you look in the real world, if you wear makeup and, you know, that's fine. Like, your best photo is what you look like. You know what I mean? That's why people are like, that's such a good photo of you. As in, it's good because it captures what you actually look like in your essence and stuff. Uh, yeah. So old photos are not. Not accurate. I thought that was pretty self explanatory, but here we are. I don't know. The bean soup of it all is just really getting to me. People like, well, what about this picture where I used to have brown hair and now I have blond hair? Yeah. So you don't look like that anymore. I don't. I don't Know, take a picture right now, and if it comes out great, that's what you look like. I, I'm, like, confused as to what we're doing here.

I'm gonna show you exactly how I make my blowout stay for the entire night. We're starting with our front pieces. Take your hot brush and use it just kind of like a curling iron. Now I'm taking my second largest rollers from my roller collection and I go forward today. Alright, five more down the back of our head. I always end up sweating after I do that side of my head. I'm excited to go to this concert though. I haven't been to a concert in a really long time. I'm listening to some older country music now, cause that's what I really like. Well, it's not really old, but I like to roll under to get more volume at the roots. And then when I take it down, I'm gonna roll it a couple times like that. And the roller should get smaller as you go down your head. Okay, I have six rollers on the side of my head. Last one. So I'm gonna let these sit for the next couple of hours so that they really set nicely and actually look good when I take them out. Okay, I'm back. Now I have to take these out. So we're gonna start at the bottom and roll them out. Yeah, not really gonna brush it out. I'm gonna take my hairspray and just lock everything in and just leave it like that. Love you.

Do you think that I have a good eye for taking pictures of other people? I'm gonna be using pictures of Abigail that I took of her to kind of show you what I'm talking about. So this is also reason for why her pictures look so good, because she's actually stunning. So I either, like, feet at the bottom or, like, cut off kind of at the waist or right above the knee. The biggest thing is you need to get closer to the subject. Get closer. Okay. Look how close I am to her here, right at her eye level. I'm not down low. You never wanna be down low. Now, I'm usually taller than pretty much all of my friends, so it's easy for me to be at, like, a higher angle. But for them, they're usually pretty low, and it just, like, it doesn't work. So I'm cutting off, like, right about just below her waist there. Just below her hips, I should say, actually. Look how much space is at the top here, right above her head. There's a whole square of space. Again, you want a lot of space at the top. You want to hold it so you're straight on. Do not angle the camera anywhere. Just straight on eye level. And I don't like a lot of crap at the bottom. No one wants to see the floor. This is one of me. It's not bad. Like, I actually think I look Pretty in this picture. But again, we just have to hold the camera straight and higher. No one wants to see all this garbage down here. Okay? It shouldn't be the focus. You want more sky. Notice how her feet are at the bottom. There's no, like, ground in the foreground. Right? But there's a lot of space above her. And then we get a little closer. See how I got close to her? She's cut off at the waist there. There's still a bunch of space above her. Do you understand what I'm saying? Cut off right above the knees. This is a little bit tilted. Like, notice how the buildings look crooked? You want to tilt that so that it's flat again. Third, above her head. See? A little bit closer. Lighting matters, too. The light is coming towards her. It's coming right towards her so that her face is lit evenly. Right. This is at sunset. There's so much space above her head. And it cuts off right at her ankle. It's really hard to tell someone in the moment what you want. And then they get annoyed because you keep asking for more pictures. So if we all just know how to take a good one of someone else, we won't have to deal with this problem. If your friend doesn't get the picture they want, it's your fault. It has everything to do with the photographer. Do not sabotage your friends. Be a good friend. Can't wait to see your Instagrams!

I'm just so upset because, like, autumn's coming, and I love autumn and pumpkin season. However, oh, I do not look good in neutrals. Look at this. The gray, uh, yuck. I only look good cause I'm like a light summer color palette, I think. So pastels and stuff, uh, killing it. But then when it's autumn and everybody else is wearing the cute, like, oh, I'm so cozy in my grout fit in my gray, I'm so cute. Or like the black, like when blond is the outfit. Not for me. Not for me. I do not look good in black. Like, maybe brown would be the only exception, but even that. Yeah. Like, I just have to wear, like, a Terminal Red, I guess. Like a cool toned red, but it's just like, upsetting. It's like, dang, summer really is my only good, like, color palette moment. Just the bright colors and the pinks and the yellows and blues and like, gray, uh, I'm just. It's not for me. So congratulations to all the autumn color palettes, because this is really your time to shine. And I'm jealous of you because you look so cozy and radiant. I will die on the hill. That your best photo is what you actually look like in real life. Whatever photo you use for your profile picture, or this is her photo, that is how other people see you. Because whenever I look at a picture of my friend, I can tell when it's a bad picture of her, and I'm like, oh, not her best picture. But when she's like, I love this photo of me, I feel really good. That is what you look like. Like, your best photo is what I see when I look at you. And people are gonna be like, oh, well, you can use editing. Not an edited photo. You know what I mean? If you take your digicam, you take a good picture, and you're like, damn, I look really good. Make that your profile picture. That is what you look like in real life. That is what I see. I've always seen people as the hottest version of the best picture. And I can recognize when it is a bad photo of somebody, and I'm like, not their best photo, but in a great picture, I'm just like, damn, she looks amazing. But that's how I see her. When I picture you in my head, I see that beautiful photo of you, and I see that beautiful version of you. So I feel like when we look at the pictures, we're usually like, oh, I have an ugly picture. So that's How I must really look. And it's just a coincidence that I happen to have a bombshell photo? No, you are the bombshell. And sometimes camera angles and lighting, they just do us dirty. It's not your fault. You are that baddie. And that gorgeous digicam photo. And it should be every single profile picture. Like Lizzo's picture that's on everything. Okay, you're gorge.
